SUBSTANCE: proposed is a biosensor for determining an analyte, a method for manufacturing an implantable biosensor, an application of a biocompatibility-ensuring layer, and a method for continuous determination of an analyte in the body of a subject. The biosensor is coated with a biocompatibility-ensuring layer. Said layer comprises the polymer comprising side groups -CO-NR1R2, wherein R1 and R2 are independently selected from -H and C1-C6-alkyl, and has the chemical structure (II) or (IIa):
wherein R4 constitutes a crosslinkable or crosslinked side group, n is in the range from 0.01 to 0.99, and m is in the range from 0.99 to 0.01. The method for manufacturing includes partially coating the biosensor with said biocompatibility-ensuring layer. The method for determining an analyte includes determining the analyte by means of said biosensor.
EFFECT: inventions ensure elimination of fouling and encapsulation of the implantable biosensors.
