FIELD: aerosol generation systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for generating an aerosol. The proposed system contains a device (1) for generating an aerosol and an article (3) for generating an aerosol. The device (1) contains: a heating chamber (5) for placing an article for the generating of an aerosol; an inductor coil (4a, 4b) for generating a magnetic field for heating the article (3) to form an aerosol placed in the heating chamber (5). The heating chamber (5) contains the first and second regions. The inductor coil (4a, 4b) is configured to selectively generate a magnetic field to heat or induce heating of only the first region of the heating chamber in use. A method for using the system for generating an aerosol is also proposed.
