FIELD: petrochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of petrochemistry, in particular to the processing of acid tar, and can be used in the processes of neutralization of waste from petrochemical production. The processing method includes the neutralization of sulfuric acid with mineral neutralizing reagents, the binding of free sulfuric acid into water-soluble compounds and the distillation (annealing) of organic substances from the resulting product at a temperature below the decomposition temperature of the formed sulfates. The task is solved by the method for processing acid tar, including the neutralization of free sulfuric acid contained in them with a mineral neutralizing reagent, followed by the distillation of the organic phase at a temperature of 100-600°С, while apatite concentrate extraction waste, nepheline or alumina production waste, red sludge are used as a mineral neutralizing reagent in an amount of 100-150% of the stoichiometric ratio of mineral neutralizing reagent : free sulfuric acid, and heating is carried out at a temperature of 1-3°С/min.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to use large-tonnage waste from apatite concentrate (nepheline) extraction processes and alumina production processes (red sludge) as a mineral neutralizing reagent, as well as to obtain commercial coagulants for wastewater treatment processes.
