FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of processing natural raw materials to obtain a complex aluminum-containing coagulant in the form of a solid product and its use in the processes of purification of water having industrial and household origin. The proposed method for obtaining a complex aluminum-containing coagulant includes chlorination of silicon or titanium ores in the presence of a solid reducing agent to obtain a chlorinating reagent: vapors of titanium tetrachloride, silicon tetrachloride or a mixture thereof, followed by treatment of aluminum oxide with a chlorinating reagent at a temperature of 1100-1200°C.
EFFECT: increase in the content (up to 20%) of the active additive and an increase in efficiency in relation to petroleum products.
