FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology and production of vaccines against FMD. Described is a method for indirect identification of the FMD virus titer in non-inactivated raw materials for a vaccine during amplification of viral nucleic acid and detection of RNA amplicons applying the molecular beacon technology and the developed exponential function with a base of 10 of the dependence of the threshold RNA amplification cycle and the FMD virus titer. The value of the FMD virus titer is determined while conducting the viral RNA amplification reaction using a fluorescently labeled molecular RNA beacon by the value of the threshold RNA amplification cycle. Based on the determined value of the threshold RNA amplification cycle (Ct RNA), the value of the FMD virus titer (TFMDV) of different types is calculated using the developed mathematical model:
EFFECT: proposed invention provides a possibility to quickly and with a high degree of accuracy determine the value of the FMD virus titer in non-inactivated raw materials for a vaccine based on the RNA amplification reaction, followed by applying the developed mathematical model.
