FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to abdominal surgery. Predictor variables are identified and determined: gender, age, systolic arterial blood pressure, diastolic arterial blood pressure, level of consciousness, presence or absence of abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting with admixture of blood, stool with admixture of blood, level of erythrocytes, hemoglobin, leukocytes, ESR, glucose, creatinine, urea, total protein, ALT, ACT, abdominal ultrasonography, abdominal radiography, thoracic radiography, presence or absence of atrial fibrillation, diabetes mellitus, peritonitis. The analysis is conducted by means of an artificial feedforward neural network dividing the output values into two groups. Patients with an output value higher than or equal to 0.7 are attributed to the group of people with an acute disorder of the mesenteric circulation. At the output value of less than 0.7, the patients are attributed to the group of people without an acute disorder of the mesenteric circulation.
EFFECT: method allows for invasive and quick detection of an acute disorder of the mesenteric circulation and for timely specialised medical assistance.
