Cutting body is made with possibility of rotation around tool axis and comprises seat for insert with mounting surface on its axial front end. Mounting surface comprises multiple thrust elements including axial thrust element with thrust surface facing axially forward and at least one radial thrust element. In the plan view of the socket for receiving the insert, the axially forward-facing thrust surface forms an external acute angle of fixation with the socket wall facing radially outwards. Rotary cutting tool comprises a cutting body and a cutting insert, which is detachably fixed in a socket for receiving the insert, with the surface of the base in contact with the mounting surface. Said at least one radial thrust element occupies at least one radial thrust element of the base surface. Thrust surface facing axially forward is in contact with the axial abutting surface of the base surface.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
