SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to aerosol generating devices suitable for use with more than one consumable part. In particular, the present invention relates to such aerosol generating devices that provide additional power. The aerosol generating device contains device case (1) containing first receiving chamber (11) for receiving and placing first consumable part (31) and second receiving chamber (12) for receiving and placing second consumable part (32). The device also contains power source (16) located in the device case, and controller (17) for controlling the aerosolization process of aerosol forming substrate contained in the consumable part made with the possibility of placement in first and second receiving chambers (11, 12). At least second receiving chamber (32) contains electrical contacts connected in a detachable manner to battery (8) located in second receiving chamber (32) and supplying additional power to the aerosol generating device through electrical contacts (61).
