FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular to a method for manufacturing a friction lining. It can be used in mechanical engineering for absorbing devices of automatic coupling devices of freight railway cars. The powder charge from the mixed components of the metal composition is subjected to cold pressing in a matrix with a given shape of the lining with the simultaneous formation of holes for fastening. On the surface of the steel base, a given roughness is provided in the form of a grid of riffles. The resulting metal-composite friction element is laid on a steel base. Sintering of a metal-composite friction element and a steel base is performed first in a vacuum with a vacuum level of 50-75 Pa at a temperature of 840-860°C under a pressure of 1.0-1.5 MPa for 2 hours, then in a vacuum with a vacuum level of 75-100 Pa at a temperature of 1040-1060°C under a pressure of 0.5-2.0 MPa for 3.0 hours. Cooling to 550-600°C is carried out in a vacuum under a pressure of 1.5-2.0 Pa.
EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in the deformation of the friction lining and an increase in the operational reliability and durability of the product.
