SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, pulmonology, and can be used to improve functional operability in patients with lung cancer diagnosed against the background of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) III-VI degree by eliminating dysfunction of the respiratory and skeletal muscles and improving breathing mechanics. To do this, at the outpatient stage, two weeks before surgical treatment, a set of physical training is prescribed, including cycles of breathing, strength and aerobic exercises. The complex begins with a cycle of breathing exercises. The cycle of strength training is performed using a stick or elastic band with the inclusion of exercises for the upper and lower muscle groups. The complex is completed by performing a cycle of aerobic training, including walking, exercise bike or swimming at the patient's choice. The set of exercises is selected individually depending on the physical status of the patient and performed daily for two weeks.

EFFECT: method provides reduction of treatment time, as well as improvement of indicators of functional operability in cancer patients.
