FIELD: phosphors obtaining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of obtaining phosphors, namely, to a method for producing a phosphor emitting in the near ultraviolet region of the spectrum, with the general formula MeAl2O4:Сe3+, where Me corresponds to the alkaline earth metal Ba, or Sr, or Ca. The method includes preparing a reaction mixture by preliminary mechanical mixing in a planetary mill for 20 minutes of powders of peroxides or oxides of alkaline earth metals, cerium (III) oxide, aluminum oxide, aluminum, followed by the process of exothermic interaction of its components in the mode of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis in an open-type reactor at atmospheric pressure in air for 5 min.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify and shorten the synthesis time, to reduce the cost of phosphors due to the use of simple equipment and the absence of maintaining a high temperature from the outside during the entire synthesis time.
