FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular, to production of a powder composite material W2B5-WC-Al2O3. The material can be used in production of carbide materials for manufacture of wear-resistant parts of mechanisms, cutting and drilling tools. A charge is prepared by mixing powders of a scheelite concentrate containing tungsten oxide (WO3), boron carbide (B4C), aluminium (Al) and carbon black (C) at the following ratio in the mass fractions of WO3B4C:Al:C=1:(0.1 to 0.15):(0.25 to 0.27):0.01. Thermal recovery is then executed by means of a single-stage SHS process.
EFFECT: production of a composite material from tungsten borides and carbides from the ore concentrate without energy consumption is achieved.
