FIELD: composite structures.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to curing composite blocks containing epoxy-containing pre-impregnated components. Described is a method of curing an epoxy-containing prepreg block for a composite material, comprising placing an epoxy-containing prepreg block in a closed space, wherein said closed space comprises an inlet, said prepreg unit comprising prepreg layers, feeding an ammonia-containing compound stream into the closed space through the inlet opening, wherein said flow is fed into closed space to provide a predetermined concentration, maintaining the ammonia-containing compound flow into the closed space at a predetermined concentration for a predetermined time and curing the epoxy-containing prepreg unit. Said block of prepreg in closed space is maintained at substantially ambient temperature of 16 °C to 38 °C and at substantially ambient pressure of 97 kPa to 110 kPa. Described also is a system for curing an epoxy-containing prepreg, a cured epoxy-containing prepreg unit, a structure, containing a cured block of epoxy-containing prepreg and a vehicle containing a cured block of epoxy-containing prepreg.

EFFECT: technical result is providing efficient and cost-effective systems and methods of curing pre-impregnated composite materials containing epoxy resin at pressures and ambient temperatures.
