APPARATUS FOR INTRODUCING INTRAOCULAR SHUNT Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61F9/00 A61F9/07 A61M5/158

Abstract RU 2759894 C1

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely, to an apparatus for introducing an intraocular shunt for glaucoma therapy. The apparatus for introducing an intraocular shunt for glaucoma therapy comprises a body and a sliding component. The body comprises a distal section, a proximal section, a longitudinal axis extending between the distal and proximal sections. The body also comprises an internal cavity, a guiding channel, and an elongated slot. The guiding channel extends along the longitudinal axis and is accessible along the outer surface of the body. The guiding channel has an inner wall. The elongated slot extends along the longitudinal axis along the outer surface of the body into the inner cavity. The sliding component is attached to the housing, configured to slide along the outer surface thereof. The sliding component is configured to slide along the elongated slot in order to activate the function of the introducing apparatus by means of the elongated slot. The sliding component comprises a guiding tab and a friction tab. The guiding tab is located on the inside and is slidable along the guiding channel of the body. The friction tab is movable relative to the guiding tab and comprises a displacement section configured to press the friction tab to the body, causing the guiding tab to come in contact with the inner wall of the guiding channel in order to provide friction resistance between the sliding component and the body, preventing sliding.

EFFECT: use of the inventions allows for a reduction in the intraocular pressure in the eye.
