FIELD: road signs recognizing methods.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for recognizing road signs. The method for recognizing road signs is characterized by the fact that for its implementation in a recorder installed in a vehicle, a radio frequency signal is modulated and continuously sent with a directional antenna in the direction of the vehicle, when a road sign appears in the direction of the radio frequency signal in its radio tag installed on it, recognition and demodulation of the radio frequency signal are performed. In this case, in the radio tag itself, a radio signal with information about the installed road sign is modulated, which is transmitted in the opposite direction of a moving vehicle, in turn, the vehicle registrar receives the radio signal generated by the radio tag, demodulates and decodes it, recognizes the type of installed road sign in the control unit and transmits information about it in the user interface. The passage of the installed road sign is controlled by the transmission and reception of radio signals by a second directional antenna, which operates in the perpendicular direction of the vehicle.

EFFECT: increased reliability of recognition of road signs in vehicle driving assistance systems.
