SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing industry. The method for obtaining a porous high-absorbency collagen-based material is characterized by the fact that the skins of freshwater fish, cleaned of impurities and cuts of muscle tissue, washed in running water for 5-10 minutes and soaked in soap solution for 20-30 minutes, followed by rinsing with water until the soap residues are completely removed, are filled with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide solutions with a concentration, wt. %, of 3%, and sodium hydroxide with a concentration of 2%, taken in a ratio of 6:4 at hydromodulus 1:5 and kept for 1 hour, then the skins are washed with distilled water and filled with a solution of apple cider vinegar with a concentration of 1.5 wt.%, or a solution of ascorbic acid with a concentration of 7 wt.%, or citric acid with a concentration of 1.5 wt.%, or succinic acid with a concentration of 1.5 wt.%, or lactic acid with a concentration of 1.5 wt.% with a hydromodulus of 1:2 and kept for 3 to 5 days, then the resulting mass is homogenized by adding distilled water with a hydromodulus of 1:3 to a homogeneous mass and subjected to freezing and drying in a vacuum freeze dryer at a vacuum of 1,2·10-1 to 8·10-1 mbar, the resulting porous material is cut into plates and hermetically packed.
