FIELD: hair products.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to processing of keratin-containing material in order to have a useful effect on this material. A method for processing keratin-containing material for improving at least one property of material includes following stages: (1) bringing material into contact with a composition including aldehyde; (2) bringing material into contact with a composition including a chelating agent and/or salt of amine and carboxylic acid; or in which stages (1) and (2) are performed together, and material is brought into contact with a single composition including aldehyde and a chelating agent and/or salt of amine and carboxylic acid; where aldehyde is aldehyde substituted with hydroxyl selected from 2-hydroxydecanal, 2-hydroxydodecanal, 2-hydroxytetradecanal, 2-hydroxyhexanal, 2-hydroxyoctanal, 2-hydroxypropanal, 6-hydroxyhexanal, 3-hydroxypropanal, 4-hydroxybut-2-enal, 2-hydroxybutanal, 3-hydroxybutanal and 4-hydroxybutanal. The use of aldehyde and a chelating agent and/or salt of amine and carboxylic acid for improving at least one hair property, a packaged product for hair coloring, and a composition for hair care are also disclosed.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides a useful effect on keratin-containing material.
