FIELD: additives.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to additives that affect the low-temperature properties of compositions based on middle distillate fuel (which can also be called gas oil). In particular, the invention relates to additives that prevent unwanted interactions between other additive compounds contained in the fuel at low temperatures. The use of an additive is disclosed, which is a copolymer comprising units having formula (A): and links having formula (B): where R represents an alkyl group, and each of R1 and R2 represents an alkyl group containing less than 18 carbon atoms. Said copolymer has a number average molecular weight of 5,000 to 30,000. Additive is used to reduce the antagonistic interaction that exists in a middle distillate fuel composition between the nitrogen-containing dispersant additive and one or more low temperature performance improving additives. At the same time, the additives are not copolymers of fumarate and vinyl ester and are selected from additives that prevent the deposition of paraffins.
EFFECT: additives to improve the fluidity of middle distillates; and their mixtures.
