SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology. Under control of 0-degree rigid endoscope, a hydropreparation of the nasal septum mucosa is followed by an incision in anterior portions followed by separation of the mucous membrane with perichondrium. A deformed thinned fragment of a quadrangular cartilage is separated and removed. A sterile strip 50 by 10 mm of a polytetrafluoroethylene porous film with a formed front edge corresponding to the cartilage incision is placed between the leaves of the nasal mucosal septum. Then the leaves of the thinned mucous membrane are put together, laid on the nasal septum frame and closed within the incision.

EFFECT: method allows to reduce the risk of developing perforations of the nasal septum during septoplasty in the postoperative period in patients with pronounced intraoperative findings in the form of a thinned or lysed quadrangular cartilage and atrophic mucous membrane of the nasal septum without taking hard-to-access autografts and cutting out intranasal complex flaps.
