METHOD FOR CORRECTING ATROPHIC ACNE SCARRING Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61N5/67 A61K31/165 A61K31/164 A61P17/02

Abstract RU 2761265 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to dermatovenerology and cosmetology. In order to correct atrophic acne scarring using an erbium yttrium-aluminium-garnet laser with a wavelength of 2,940 nm, at the first stage, laser treatment of the edge area of the scars is conducted with a solid spot with a diameter of 2 mm at an angle of 45° to the surface with an energy density of 6 J/cm2, pulse duration of 400 mcs, pulse frequency of 4 to 8 Hz in the equipment with spot overlapping of 10 to 20% until occurrence of pinpoint bleeding and an exudate, removed from the skin surface using an aqueous solution of 0.5% chlorhexidine bigluconate. At the second stage, laser treatment of the entire skin surface is conducted with an energy density of 42 to 48 J/cm2, an amount of sub-pulses in a single flash of 4, the size of the working spot of 13x13 mm with the amount of microbeams of 169, the diameter of each microbeam of 250 microns, the distance between the microzones of impact of 700 mcm, the interval between flashes of 0.75 s, with spot overlapping of 10 to 20%. The total amount of passes of the treated zone is therein three with rotation of the attachment in the horizontal plane at an angle of 30 to 40° after each pass. After the second stage, a layer of 5% dexpanthenol ointment is applied to the treated surface, and after one day the skin is treated with an aqueous solution of 0.5% chlorhexidine bigluconate. Treatment is continued for the following two days with an aqueous solution of 0.5% chlorhexidine bigluconate twice a day and 5% dexpanthenol ointment is applied three times a day.

EFFECT: method increases the effectiveness of cosmetic results in correction of atrophic acne scarring: the relief of the edge area of the scar is smoothed without significant damage to the basal epidermal membrane, regeneration of the bottom of the atrophic scar is stimulated without removing/reducing the thickness of the tissue, and skin infection after laser treatment is also prevented and the process of epithelisation is accelerated.
