FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: system for stimulating biomass production from a microorganism culture (options) and a method for stimulating biomass production from a microorganism culture in a loop reactor (options) are proposed. The system contains a loop reactor with a gas-liquid separator having an inlet and an outlet for separating a multiphase mixture of gas and liquid culture medium, as well as with a loop section. The method includes repeated transfer of gas of the multiphase mixture into liquid culture medium of the multiphase mixture in the loop section, separation of the multiphase mixture of gas and liquid culture medium into a gaseous phase and a liquid phase in the gas-liquid separator, removal of the liquid phase and delivery of the removed liquid phase to the inlet of the loop section of the loop reactor.
EFFECT: inventions provide a reduction in the ground area and volume occupied by bioreactors, without deterioration of its performance characteristics.
