FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, oncology and can be used for combined endoscopic assessment of the effectiveness of radiation therapy for primary laryngeal cancer. Before starting treatment, white light video laryngoscopy is performed, followed by autofluorescence video laryngoscopy and virtual spectroscopy with hemoglobin index measurement. Indicators characterizing malignant formation are determined, namely, the presence of foci of intense lilac glow and the hemoglobin index within 91-97. After radiation therapy, a second study is carried out in the same sequence. When a weak lilac glow and a hemoglobin index of 43-48 are detected, the positive effect of radiation therapy and the absence of cancer sites are determined. With the preservation of foci of intense lilac glow and the hemoglobin index 79-81, the presence of a residual tumor is noted.
EFFECT: method improves the accuracy and specificity of evaluating the effectiveness of treatment of primary cancer of the larynx using radiation therapy.
