SUBSTANCE: when autophluorescence is used to detect pathological sites, including minimal foci of the bronchial tree mucous membrane, areas with a pronounced lilac glow against the background of the green glow of the normal surrounding mucosa are taken as malignant transformation. In the pathological sections detected this way, the vascular pattern is evaluated in a narrow-spectrum mode during study. If the pathological area has an unstructured vascular pattern represented by a closed loopy pattern of thickened deformed vessels or is characterized by the presence of crimped, short, "chopped" vessels, an X-ray negative central synchronous lung cancer is diagnosed.

EFFECT: increased frequency of early detection of X-ray negative central synchronous lung cancers.
