FIELD: chemical industry and nanotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical industry and nanotechnology and can be used in the production of high-energy lithium batteries, chemical current sources, sensors, electrochemical and optical devices, catalysts for the oxidation of organic and inorganic substances. As a raw material, a salt containing vanadium - vanadyl formate VO(HCOO)2.H2O is taken, and it is annealed at 500-650°C in a helium atmosphere for 0.5-1 h. The resulting vanadium trioxide V2O3 nanopowder does not contain other impurity phases as well as carbon.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain the specified nanopowder in one stage without the use of additional organic compounds.
