FIELD: physical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to three variants of a reactor plant. According to one of the variants, the unit comprises a body of the reactor plant and several cylindrical elements of the reactor plant with a fixed catalyst layer, located inside the body of the reactor plant and surrounding at least one light source located in the body, wherein each of the elements of the reactor plant comprises a body and a plasmon photocatalyst on an optically transparent catalyst substrate located within the body of the element, the plasmon photocatalyst comprises a catalyst connected with a plasmon material with a plasmon resonance frequency in order to accelerate the required chemical reaction, wherein the catalyst substrate is made in the form of a fixed layer substantially filling the entire body of the element of the reactor plant, wherein the body of the element of the reactor plant is optically transparent and comprises at least one input apparatus for supplying the reactant into the element of the reactor plant and at least one output apparatus for removing the product of catalytic conversion from the element of the reactor plant; wherein, when at least one light source is used, each element of the reactor plant is configured to convert the reactant into a product of catalytic conversion. The invention also relates to a method.
EFFECT: reactor unit is effective and an environmentally acceptable solution for many modern industrial processes.
