FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: appliance for an aerosol generation apparatus comprises a circuit containing an inductive element for heating a current receiving structure for heating the aerosol-generating material. The appliance also comprises a controller configured to identify a change in the electrical parameter of the circuit when the circuit transitions between an unloaded state, wherein the current receiving structure is not inductively connected with the inductive element, and a loaded state, wherein the current receiving structure is inductively connected with the inductive element. The controller is configured to determine the property of the current receiving structure based on the change in the electrical parameter of the circuit.
EFFECT: ensured fast heating of the current collector.
