FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical devices that use the magneto-optical Faraday effect to measure electric current. The claimed device contains the first fiber light guide, a collimator, a polarizer, a magnetically sensitive element in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped, a second polarizer whose transmission plane is an angle of 45 degrees with the transmission plane of the first polarizer, a focusing lens and a second fiber light guide. The first polarizer is glued between the first base of the parallelepiped and a plane-parallel glass plate. The second linear polarizer is glued between the second base of the parallelepiped and an additional prism of the BR-180° or BkR-180° type so that its transmission plane coincides with the main section of the additional prism and is parallel to the larger edge of the base.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of measurement.
