SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding engineering and concerns a technology of manufacturing blades from a polymer composite material (PCM) of impellers of axial air blowers (AAB) of hovercraft (HC) and blades made of PCM. Layers of prepreg with the same configuration in plan are assembled into separate packages. All packages are grouped into three groups: lower, middle and upper groups. The lower and upper groups of packages include packages with the smallest number of prepreg layers included in their composition and the largest step of changing the overall dimensions. The middle group of packages includes packages with the largest number of prepreg layers included in their composition and the smallest step of changing the overall dimensions. Layers of prepreg during the forming of the workpiece are laid out on the working surface of the lower die of the mold in batches. Before laying out the upper group on top of the lower and middle groups laid out in the matrix, a preformed and hardened intermediate shell made of PCM with a surface close in shape to the surfaces of adjacent layers of the reinforcing fabric of the finished blade is laid on the border between the middle and upper groups of prepreg layer packages, and only on top of it lay out the top group of packages.
