FIELD: chemical; pharmaceutical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in medicinal product quality control centres and control and analytical laboratories when conducting a quantitative determination of the amount of hydroxycinnamic acids in the shoots of large-thorn hawthorn (Crataegus macracantha). Large-thorned hawthorn shoots are crushed to particles of 4 mm, extraction is carried out with 60% ethyl alcohol, in a raw material-extractant ratio of 1:200. Then the optical density of the solution is measured at a wavelength of 330 nm. After this, the content of the sum of hydroxycinnamic acids in the shoots of large-thorned hawthorn in terms of chlorogenic acid is calculated using the formula: X = (Ax100x25x100)/(mx2x507x(100-W)), where: X is the sum of hydroxycinnamic acids in terms of chlorogenic acid, %; A is the optical density of the test solution; m is mass of raw materials, g; W is weight loss during drying, %; 507 is the specific absorbance of the state standard sample of chlorogenic acid at 330 nm.
EFFECT: use of the invention improves prediction accuracy.
