SUBSTANCE: method for determining a safe route on a radioactively contaminated area consists in conducting radiation reconnaissance of the area between the points of departure and destination and the subsequent determination of the route on which the lowest dose of gamma radiation will be received, at the same time, mobile devices are sent along all possible routes, allowing to overcome them at the maximum possible speed, an individual gamma dose meter is placed inside the vehicle, after each route the dose meter readings are multiplied by the length of the route and by the frequency of attenuation of gamma radiation of the corresponding vehicle , divided by the time of its passage, select the route of movement, which corresponds to the minimum of the obtained digital values.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency and reliability of determining a safe route for overcoming a section of radioactively contaminated terrain, reducing the dose loads of the crews of the reconnaissance vehicles involved.
