FIELD: ship power plants.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a ship propulsion system. The propulsion system contains a hull that is fixed to the vessel. The propeller shaft passes through the housing, which is supported with the possibility of rotation by means of the first and second supports. The propeller is attached to at least one end of the propeller shaft. The first support contains the first radial bearing and the first thrust bearing. The first radial bearing is a sliding bearing located axially inside the first thrust bearing. The first support is located at the first end of the housing, and the second support is located at the second end of the housing, or vice versa.
EFFECT: convenience in maintenance or replacement of bearings from inside the vessel’s hull is achieved.
