SUBSTANCE: vibration damper has counterpoises and clamp that secures damper for instance to power transmission line conductor. Rod-type counterpoises have one part joined to ground wire and other, longer, part can be turned by bending through definite angle relative to ground wire. The latter carries bushing joined to short part of rod. Vibration damper is designed as multifrequency device that can function at frequencies corresponding to a number of resonance peaks of bending and torsional vibrations due to varying length of rods, and adequate selection of their disposition on ground wire makes it possible to ensure effective vibration damping on line cables (conductors).
