SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of 2-((4-R1-5-R2-3-(ethoxycarbonyl)thiophen-2-yl)amino)-4-oxo-4-R3-but-2-enoic acids of general formula 1а, б as an antimicrobial agent.
EFFECT: compounds have been obtained in high yields with pronounced antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus with multidrug resistance, as well as low toxicity.
