SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to otorhinolaryngology. Venous blood is taken from the patient and 4 indicators are determined: the concentration of homocysteine, cystatin C, D-dimer, highly sensitive C-reactive protein (hsCRP). Then the results of these indicators are entered into the formula and the indicator of diagnosis and monitoring of treatment of patients with chronic diseases of the paranasal sinuses and palatine tonsils (y) is calculated according to the formula: y =0.01314×x1+0.000909×x2+0.002522×x3+0.002414×x4-0.915391, where x1 is the concentration of homocysteine, x2 is the concentration of cystatin C, x3 is the concentration of D-dimer, x4 is the concentration of hsCRP. With values y = 0-0.49, the patient is diagnosed with the absence of a chronic disease. At values of y = 0.5 and more, the presence of a chronic disease is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the accuracy of diagnosis of diseases of the paranasal sinuses and palatine tonsils at an early stage and to monitor treatment using highly sensitive and standardized methods for laboratory diagnostics.
