FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely, to electrical machines, and can be used in determining losses in transformers. The method for determining the indicator of the degree of magnetic induction in the steel of a transformer core consists in conducting open-circuit testing at low voltage and calculating the coefficient by a formula containing the value of the previously found hysteresis losses, the measured value of losses in steel at low voltage, the passport value of open-circuit losses, and the ratio of the low and rated voltages.
EFFECT: possibility of determining the indicator of the degree of magnetic induction, wherein said induction enters into the expression of hysteresis losses (for magnetisation reversal) in the steel transformer core with said indicator at the rated frequency based on the result of two measurements and one passport parameter of the transformer, providing a possibility of effectively designing the sheet material and reducing the losses in the steel of transformers.
