FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for positioning a set of tool heads in a converting machine for converting sheet material into box templates. In the specified method: a set of tool heads is provided, located in the first set of individual positions in the conversion area. The set of tool heads is moved within the conversion area during the first movement by means of a transportation mechanism, which is made with the possibility of individual connection to each tool head. One of the set of tool heads is moved relatively to the transportation mechanism in the second movement. The set of tool heads is moved to the second set of separate positions by means of the first and the second movements. The second movement occurs during the first movement. The invention also relates to a device for positioning tool heads.
EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to ensure high quality and stable operation of tool heads, as well as to quickly perform repositioning and moving.
