FIELD: metal rolling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a rolling mill. Mill has the first rolling stand, in which flat products are rolled. Before and/or after the first rolling stand there is a sensor device which registers at least one measured value (M), which is characteristic for any property of the material of flat rolled stock. Sensor device transmits recorded measured value (M) to rolling mill control device. Control device determines the control value (A) of the first rolling stand taking into account the measured value (M). Control of the first rolling stand influences the specified property of material of flat products. Control value (A) is the ratio of peripheral speeds with which the upper and lower working rolls of the mill stand rotate.
EFFECT: any electrical, magnetic or mechanical property of the material of flat products is provided.
