SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of controlling movement for a vehicle. Method of controlling movement for a vehicle for performing autonomous control of lane change, which actuates a steering actuator for autonomous control of the vehicle in question, in order to change the traffic lane from the traffic lane of the considered vehicle, along which the considered vehicle moves, to the adjacent traffic lane. At that, the traffic control method comprises the stages, at which when performing the autonomous control of the traffic lane change, the transverse speed of the vehicle in question is increased within the traffic lane of the vehicle in question thereafter, lateral speed of the vehicle in question is reduced within the traffic lane of the vehicle in question and autonomous control of the change of traffic lane is performed during reduction of the transverse speed of the vehicle in question.
EFFECT: higher safety when changing lanes.
