FIELD: aerosol generating devices.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an aerosol generating device for generating a respirable aerosol. The device contains a tactile element designed to create tactile feedback with a user. The device comprises an air flow sensor configured to detect an air flow passing through an air flow channel of the device, and a detection element configured to detect at least one of the following: the type of aerosol generating article inserted into the heating chamber of the device, the type desired tactile feedback, the user's puff duration, the number of puffs over a period of time, the time of day the user puffs, and the user's puff step. The device additionally contains a controller, which is connected to the detection element and to the tactile element. The controller is configured to control the operation of the tactile element based on the operation of the said detection element.
