FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction of railroads and highways on permafrost, but can be used outside the permafrost zone. Excavation structure comprises an underground part and an elevated part, which rises above the level of the natural soil surface, as well as enclosing structure located within underground and aboveground parts with inner cavity and dimensions in accordance with building approach dimensions. On both sides of the enclosing structure in the aboveground part there are lateral protective group arrays. Longitudinal and transverse drainage elements are located inside the recess structure. Transverse drainage elements are located within the lateral protective soil massif in the place of each runoff strip below the level of the natural soil surface and are made in form of filtering channels with coarse filler and thickness equal to depth of seasonal thawing in surrounding area. Longitudinal drainage element is made in the form of a chute with a longitudinal slope, which is continuous along the entire length of the recess and is located at the side surface of the enclosing structure inside the cavity in the underground part of the recess. End part of each transverse drainage element adjoining the enclosing structure contains bypass pipes located directly above the chute.
EFFECT: providing reliable operation of the excavation structure.
