SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for treating Dravet syndrome. A method of treating Dravet syndrome in a subject in need of such treatment involves administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a T-type calcium channel antagonist. T-type calcium channel antagonist represents compound MK-8998 or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt.
EFFECT: using the invention provides effective treatment of Dravet syndrome.
