SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to military field surgery, thoracic surgery, disaster medicine. After thoracotomy in 5-6^th intercostal space on side of injury, pulmonary tissue is squeezed by fingers, bringing inlet and outlet holes of wound canal together. On the pulmonary tissue from the edge of the lung to the upper edge of the wound canal, a stapling apparatus is applied, the lung tissue is sutured and dissected with the apparatus or two clamps are applied at distance of 5 mm from each other, pulmonary tissue is transected between them, the clamps are pulled apart, a blanket suture is applied around both clamps, the clamps are removed. Then the wound canal is stitched with a U-suture. Lung sealing is monitored by air load using an artificial pulmonary ventilation apparatus; the detected air leaks are closed. Then drains are installed and soft tissues are closed in layers.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to quickly and effectively carry out aero- and haemostasis with minimal surgical effect on the wound canal of lung tissue, reduces volume of surgical aid, intraoperative blood loss, reduces duration of operation, thereby improving clinical outcomes, is technically easy to implement.
