SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery. U-suture is applied starting at a proximal boundary of a projection of a haemorrhage site. A suture needle is pricked into and seizes the periosteum at the level of a lower edge of an upper rib and pricked out in a projection of an edge of an underlying rib. A loop is formed between two stitches. A similar U-suture is formed in the opposite direction. The suture is kinked at 90°. An interrupted suture is applied by pricking the needle in a projection of the kinking with the suture extended and the needle pricked out from the outside of the U-suture. The interrupted suture ends are interlaced at a kinking point at 90° with the other suture end. A prepared catgut bunch is laid along the intercostals space axis under the formed loops of the U-suture and the loops of the interrupted suture. The suture ends are tied up by pulling the loops above the catgut bunch.

EFFECT: method enables the reliable homeostasis by the optimum suturing creating uniform and adequate compression.
