FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Descemet’s membrane (DM) is separated from the sclera corneal graft by hydrodissection. First, a sector of the Schlemm's canal is removed, cone-shaped tunnel 3 mm high with an apex directed towards the center of the cornea is formed under the DM. An irrigation cannula is introduced into the formed tunnel, and the DM is separated from the underlying tissues using a pressurized fluid flow. A dye is introduced under the DM, a non-through trepanation of the corneoscleral flap is performed from the endothelium and placed in a liquid to separate the DM from the stroma.
EFFECT: method enables reducing the time of surgical manipulations and reducing the risk of graft loss as a result of rupture of Descemet's membrane, intact endothelial cells.
