FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to obtain a transplant of the Descemet's membrane for endothelial keratoplasty. To do this, the Descemet's membrane (DM) is separated from the stroma from the donor corneoscleral flap using hydrodissection. After hydrodissection, the corneoscleral flap, together with the separated DM, is placed in a conservation medium. Before endothelial keratoplasty, blind trepanation of the corneoscleral flap is performed. DM is aspirated into the injector and used for implantation.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to preserve the graft with a reduced risk of loss of endothelial cells for subsequent endothelial keratoplasty.
