METHOD FOR OBTAINING A DONOR GRAFT OF DESCEMET'S MEMBRANE WITH AN ENDOTHELIAL LAYER Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61F9/07

Abstract RU 2786330 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and is intended for obtaining a donor graft of the Descemet's membrane (DM) with an endothelial layer. When separating the DM from the corneoscleral flap, first marker marks are applied on the sclera outward from the Schlemm's canal around the circumference at a distance of 120° from each other. A channel is formed in the zone of each mark 2 mm long between the posterior surface of the stroma and the DM in the direction towards the center. A cannula is introduced into each channel and hydrodissection is carried out sequentially on 1/4 of the entire area of the DM. After that, the beginning of each channel is expanded for passive outflow of liquid. A puncher with a diameter of 7.5 or 8.0 mm performs non-through trepanation of the corneoscleral flap with the formation of a circular notch. Then the edge of the DM is raised in each of the three sectors and traction is performed to the center with the separation of the DM from the underlying stroma.

EFFECT: method ensures preservation of the optimal transparency of the cornea in the early, late and long-term periods after keratoplasty by minimizing the risk of damage, maintaining the density of endothelial cells, reducing the duration of its cutting out and implantation into the anterior chamber.
