STAMPING METHOD AND STAMPING STRUCTURE TO MAXIMIZE PRESSURE GROWTH DURING ROTARY FOIL STAMPING Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC B31F1/07

Abstract RU 2746061 C2

FIELD: stamping.

SUBSTANCE: stamping method, which provides the possibility of double-sided stamping of the material, includes the following operations: the foil material is fed into the gap of the rollers between a pair of rollers of the first and second rollers, and each of the first and second rollers is provided with a set of protrusions and a set of cavities having an identical polyhedral shape. In this case, the first subset of the set of protrusions is located on the first grid specified on the first roller, with the first periodicity in the axial direction and with the second periodicity in the peripheral direction. The second subset of the set of cavities is located on the first grid with the first periodicity in the axial direction and with the second periodicity in the peripheral direction, alternating with protrusions in the axial and peripheral directions, respectively. The second roller has protrusions and cavities that are complementary to the cavities and protrusions on the first grid. During the operation of the rollers, each protrusion and each cavity on the first roller in the gap area of the rollers is surrounded by the protrusions and cavities of the second roller. During the operation of the rollers, the protrusions of the first roller, together with the corresponding alternating cavities of the second roller, form a first straight line parallel to the axial direction in the gap zone of the rollers. During the operation of the rollers, the cavities of the first roller, together with the corresponding alternating protrusions on the second roller, form a second straight line parallel to the axial direction in the gap zone of the rollers. The protrusions and cavities are arranged in such a way that on the first roller, each protrusion has an axially common lateral boundary of the base with at least one cavity adjacent to the said protrusion. During the operation of the rollers in the zone of the roller gap, all the lateral inclined surfaces of the protrusions and cavities of the first roller are located, in full view from the front, exactly above the corresponding lateral inclined surfaces of the cavities and protrusions, of the second roller, respectively.

EFFECT: ensuring a uniform distribution of the pressure applied to the material.
