FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: method for increasing the concentration of magnesium ions in the source water is described, wherein the mentioned method includes following stages, at which an incoming flow QIN of the source water is provided, while the source water has total alkalinity (CaCO3) from 5 to 200 mg/l; the mentioned flow QIN is passed through a solid layer to obtain an outgoing flow QOUT of the treated water; wherein the solid layer contains a source of magnesium ions in the form of solid particles, and the mentioned source of magnesium ions is natural or synthetic hydromagnesite, the source water has a concentration of carbon dioxide of less than 20 mg/l. A flow reactor for increasing the concentration of magnesium ions in the source water, and a water treatment system using it are described.
EFFECT: increase in the concentration of magnesium ions in the source water.
