FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to basic organic and petrochemical synthesis, namely to use of porous polyarylenephthalide as a heterogeneous cocatalyst in amount of 3.5–5.0 wt. % of the reaction mass during formation of 4,4-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane by condensation of tert-butanol and formaldehyde.
EFFECT: increased selectivity of 4,4-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane formation.
