FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a system for confirming the position of a medical tube, and can be used to confirm the position of a tube used to supply nutrients inside the body. System for confirming the position of a medical tube used to supply nutrients inside the body by feeding through the tube when its end part is inserted (placed) into the stomach, comprises a light guide and a light source. Light guide is configured to direct light entering through its input end part so that light exits through the output end part, and with possibility of being inserted into the medical tube so that the output end of the light guide is located inside the stomach. Light source for emitting light, which includes a wavelength passing through a living body, is optically connected to the input end of the light guide so that the light enters the light guide. Light source is configured to emit light with intensity, which is equal to or exceeds the first intensity required for light passage from the inside of the stomach outside the body, but below the second intensity required for the light from the inside of the lungs and trachea outside the body.
EFFECT: providing the absence of the need to determine the position of the stomach during visual confirmation of the presence of light by an operator or analyzing image data, since it is possible to determine that the medical tube T has properly reached the stomach by simply determining whether the presence of light is confirmed; thus, it is easier to determine that the medical tube reaches the stomach and not the lung or trachea.
